Corporate Sustainability

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a growing and effective corporate communication tool used by most multinationals and SMEs. In many instances, CSR and sustainability have shifted from being part of a corporation to being embraced as integral to the business model and operations.

This course provides participants with an up-to-date overview of what sustainability is and the other parallel terms that are currently in use. The focus on CSR as a management function (linked to performance and targets) is explored along with the key concepts involved and how CSR is evolving in different industries.

Participants will be introduced to good practice from various sectors, stakeholder management and how to measure CSR outcomes and other KPIs. An important theme of the course is resource efficiency -developing and implementing successful CSR strategies. Central to the course is stakeholder analysis and issue management. Participants will learn how to identify stakeholders and link these key stakeholders with relevant issues. We also provide updates for participants on areas such as carbon-capture storage, carbon issues, eco-tourism, and the importance of supply-chain issues.
